Club details

We meet on Friday evenings at 7pm till 10pm at the St Mary's Church Hall in Princes Risborough. This is located opposite St Mary's Church and near the main car park in Stratton Road. Click here for a map.

‘Uppingham (LNWR) - Rutland’s only passenger branch terminus: the first 130 years’

hosted by the Risborough and District MRC November 29th 2024, 8.00pm

Haddenham 28th September 2024

On Saturday 28th September 2024 we hosted a small exhibition in Haddenham featuring half a dozen layouts, traders and our secondhand stall. For details of the event, see our promotional video:

Layouts included:

  • Okement Quarry - this is our club's new O gauge project based loosely on Meldon Quarry.
  • Shadwell - High Wycombe MRC Juniors - OO 1960s+ steam, diesel or modern day.
  • Loughborough Road Engine Shed - Roger Noble RDMRC - Pre Grouping: LNWR & Midland.
  • Tedburn St Mary - South West Herts MRS - OO SR.
  • East Wittering - Kelvin White RDMRC - O gauge (Selsey tramway).
  • Leatown - Kevin Wood RDMRC - OO E.London 1980s blue diesels.
  • Freedles - Ric Lee RDMRC - N gauge freelance.

Railex exhibition - Saturday 24th May, Sunday 25th May 2025

Railex is our large finescale exhibition, where the quality of layouts is paramount, along with a great selection of traders for our visitors to buy their next models from.

The exhibition is held at the Stoke Mandeville stadium in Aylesbury.

Railex 2023 Awards went to Old Parrock for Best Layout, and the Wantage Street scene won Best Model.

Risex exhibition at the Risborough Community Centre Feb 17th 2024

On Saturday 17th February 2024 starting at 10am we presented our family model railway exhibition in Princes Risborough featuring ten layouts, some traders and our secondhand stall.

Layouts included:

  • Loughborough Road - OO gauge LNWR pre grouping
  • Tremierten - N gauge, ex GWR Country branch Terminus. Many 3D printed items of rolling stock
  • Glenridding Lane - OO gauge, 1960's Industrial Steam
  • Whipsnade Central - 009 gauge depicting the narrow gauge railway at Whipsnade Zoo
  • Shadwell - OO Gauge East End 50's and 60's steam terminus with goods reception yard
  • Silverbury - OO Gauge modern image of what the GCE line to London would have looked like, if it survived
  • All cars stop here - Honk Kong based tram layout
  • Pentrefan - EM Gauge pre grouping GWR set in Wales
  • Melin Parva - O 16.5 narrow gauge
  • Tamzynowo Wlk - HO Polish layout
