Description: 4mm sacle (OO gauge). One of 3 baggage vans built in 1935 by the Southern Railway for the London to Paris "Night Ferry". Painted
to match the train's CIWL sleepers, the baggage vans travlled with the coaches across the channel via Dover train ferry. Dual fitted for UK and continetal running.
The prototype was essentially an extended version of a standard SR PLV - extra 10ft being added to accomodate the Guard's compartment. The standard roof profile
was lowered to eanble the birdcage lookout to remain within the loading gauge.
Modle is a MARC Models brass kit with added details dn modifications. Construction is largely solder-based. It is painted and lettered for 1938.
(Pipework will be added as part of the semi-permanent coupling arrangement when construction of the NF rake is complete).
