Mick Moignard's D&RGW Coach #272
Coach 272 was remodelled in 1937 for use on the Shavano and San Juan Express
trains - the last 3-foot gauge luxury train in the USA.
The model is a reworked and redetailed Soho brass model from the mid-70s. It has new roof details,
all-new body details including fully working telescopic gang ways, and a completely new and fully
detailed underframe, all done in soldered brass. New, correct plastic trucks have been added. Interior
details include a stove, single and double seats, two sofas in the centre of the car.
Painting and light weathering was by an airbrush, lettering is Thin Dulex gold decals settled
with Solvaset.
